What's the difference in the karats of dimonds and jewels vs simple gold or white gold chains?
Hubby gave me some11/2 karat dimond jewelry and gave my MIL a white gold chain thats said to be *14 karat stainless gold plated*. What's the difference in the karats between the 2? I skilled in that the diamonds are worth more, as he paid more, but just curious at how that works. Is it done by mass? I'm not big on jewelry so I don't know. Thanks.

It's from 1900-1930 I swear by. string watch. silver color (not sure if it's ghostly gold, silver or what) and it has little "yellowish diamonds congenial" all over the chain. Thanks for your help.
